Teijin Frontier Launches Grievance Mechanism to Protect Human Rights Across Its Global Supply Chains
Tokyo, July 15, 2025 --- Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. announced today that it launched a grievance mechanism, the Teijin Frontier Supplier Hotline, on July 14. This new hotline will provide a formal avenue for reporting concerns about human rights and workplace conditions at domestic and international supplier organizations affiliated with Teijin Frontier Group companies. By implementing this mechanism, Teijin Frontier aims to protect human rights and ensure worker safety throughout its supply chains for raw material procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, logistics and sales.
To accelerate response to and resolution of grievances reported via the hotline, Teijin Frontier is collaborating with the Global Alliance for Sustainable Supply Chain (ASSC), a non-governmental organization dedicated to resolving supply chain issues.
Demand for greater corporate social responsibility and respect for human rights, along with an increasing emphasis on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, has led companies to establish systems that appropriately address violations. To support this trend, Teijin Frontier issued the Teijin Frontier Group Human Rights Policy in 2021, declaring its commitment to respecting human rights across its supply chains.
Subsequently, in recognition of the importance of early identification and rapid resolution of risks to human rights and workplace safety, Teijin Frontier created the supplier hotline. Through this mechanism, the company intends to further strengthen its efforts toward realizing a sustainable society.
How the Teijin Frontier Supplier Hotline works
Following is a summary of the process.
1. The complainant accesses the inquiry portal on Teijin Frontier’s website (https://www2.teijin-frontier.com/english/sustainability/procurement/) and submits their concern. Anonymity will be honored upon request.
In addition, the company will distribute a booklet and leaflet explaining how to access the inquiry portal.
2. As the initial contact, ASSC receives and reviews all inquiries related to human rights violations, working conditions and workplace environments.
3. Teijin Frontier and ASSC discuss these inquiries and jointly determine appropriate responses.
4. Relevant departments within Teijin Frontier take necessary actions as needed.
